VTV.fi is a web service of the National Audit Office of Finland (NAOF). The NAOF’s communications team is responsible for the maintenance and technical development of the service. The service is targeted at policy-makers, public-sector actors, the media, and citizens. The main purpose of the service is to publish audit information and provide information about good management of public finances.
Contents in the web service are published in Finnish, Swedish, and English. The contents in Swedish and English may be more limited than the contents available in Finnish.
The press releases published in the service are imported from the STT Info portal, videos from YouTube, and presentations from the SlideShare service.
We also collect customer feedback by means of a general feedback form.
The website also uses social plugins, which allow the site to display social media content, for example. The social plugins of the website can set cookies for their own services and according to their own principles. The website always uses a secure connection (https).
Visitor tracking cookies collect general statistical data for the development of the website. The tracking data are not used for marketing or disclosed outside the NAOF. Only the NAOF can use the tracking data to develop its online communications.
The data collected in visitor tracking include, for example, the page through which the visitor entered the website, the downloaded pages, the time of page downloads, as well as the visitor’s web browser, operating system and Internet service provider. The visitor’s IP address is used to determine the organization for which the IP address is registered and the geographical location of the visitor. IP addresses are not saved in full, and they are not used to identify a single person.

Processing of personal data and privacy statements
VTV.fi processes the personal data you disclose with due care, in a lawful manner, and ensuring the protection of privacy.
The privacy statements describe the data contained in the personal data files maintained by the National Audit Office as well as the intended use, regular disclosures, and protection principles concerning the data. Furthermore, the privacy statements contain information about the rights of the data subject as well as the relevant contact details.
A personal data file refers to all personal data processed for the same purpose. The requirement for a privacy statement is set out in the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

The photos on the VTV.fi website may not be used by anyone outside the NAOF, unless this has been specifically agreed with the NAOF’s website editorial staff.
Press photos are available for media use on the NAOF’s Flickr account (opens in a new tab). The copyright indicated on a photo must always be acknowledged in connection with the photo.
The use of the staff’s contact details for commercial purposes, such as any form of direct marketing, is prohibited.
The website editorial staff is responsible for the contents of the web service and aims to keep them as up to date as possible. The National Audit Office aims to correct any errors detected without delay.
